NVIDIA GeForce 546.31 Hotfix Driver Download
On December 4, 2023, NVIDIA released new drivers with DLSS 3.5 support for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season One. As it turned out, it was quickly discovered that the driver could cause color issues when streaming the game and intermittent lag when V-SYNC was turned on. To address these issues, NVIDIA released a quick hotfix for version 546.31.
Here's what's new in NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix driver version 546.31:
GeForce Hotfix display driver version 546.31 is based on our latest Game Ready driver 546.29.
This fix resolves the following issues:
- [Discord] Colors may be dimmed when streaming a game.
- Intermittent lag may occur when V-SYNC is enabled.
Keep in mind that NVIDIA provides these Hotfix releases on an as-is basis, so it's best to download them only if you need a specific fix. If the problem is not urgent, you can wait for the next WHQL-certified driver update, which will contain the 546.31 fix. Here's what NVIDIA has to say about this:
The GeForce Hotfix drivers are our attempt to get some of these fixes to you faster. These drivers are essentially the same as previous releases, with the addition of a handful of targeted fixes. These fixes are based partly on your feedback in the Driver Feedback thread, and partly on the realistic feasibility of our getting these issues resolved quickly. These fixes (and more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which point the Hotfix driver will be removed.
To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta versions, optional and provided as is. They go through a much shorter QA process. They exist for the sole purpose of getting you a fix faster. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL-certified driver. But we know that many users are willing to try these drivers. Therefore, we only offer NVIDIA Hotfix drivers through the NVIDIA Customer Service Support website.
