Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Series New Soc First Look: Scores Surpass Snapdragon 8 Gen2
A new Snapdragon 8-series Soc from Qualcomm is set to debut in the first half of this year, blogger Digital Gossip Station has revealed.
Codenamed SM8635, it shares the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 (codenamed SM8650), and its AnTuTu score exceeds that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (codenamed SM8550).
The known Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 AnTuTu score surpassed 1.7 million, which means the SM8635 will have an AnTuTu score of over 1.7 million.
In terms of performance, the Qualcomm SM8635 is positioned like a "Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Lite Edition", with the CPU frequency expected to be a bit lower, but the performance is still flagship level.
It is worth noting that the digital chat station hinted that Redmi will use this Soc, the first model should be Redmi Note 13 Turbo.
Last year, Redmi debuted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 chip, which is a downclocked version of the Snapdragon 8+, the same family as the Snapdragon 8+.
This time, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is powered by the SM8635 processor, and its performance will be unrivaled in its class.
