Microsoft quietly extends Win11 22H2 update: up to June 2025

In a recent KB5034765 update note, Microsoft said that it has extended the deadline for non-security updates for Windows 11 22H2 versions based on user feedback.

The new end date for pushing non-security updates for Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise Multi-Session editions is June 24, 2025, Microsoft said.

The non-security update push end date has been extended to June 26, 2024 for the Home, Professional, Professional Education and Professional Workstation editions of Windows 11 22H2.

According to the previous plan, the deadline for Windows 11 22H2 non-security update push is February 27, 2024; however, users can still receive non-security updates to get new features and functionality until the new end date, after which Microsoft will only provide security updates.

Not long ago Microsoft also made an announcement that devices that are still stuck on Windows 11 21H2 and 22H2, but are eligible for the upgrade, will be automatically updated to the latest 23H2 update.

Later this year Microsoft will also roll out the 24H2 major version update.
