Apple iOS 16 Beta 7 pushed today, official version is ready

With the fall event approaching, today Apple launched the seventh beta version of iOS 16, iOS 16 Beta 7, version number 20A5356a. The update times for the first six rounds of beta versions are June 6, June 22, July 6, July 27, August 8, and August 15.

It can be seen that in the past few weeks, the update cycle of the iOS 16 developer beta has changed from the original two-week update to a one-week update, which also means that iOS 16 is not far away from users.

According to people familiar with the matter, Apple completed the development of the official version of iOS 16 last week, and it will be unveiled at Apple’s autumn new product launch with the iPhone 14 series.

At the same time, today Apple also launched the first beta version of iPadOS 16.1, version number 20B5027f. Before the update will be called "iPadOS 16" beta 7, but after the update is complete, it will appear as iPadOS 16.1.

Previously, the two operating systems shared the same build number, and the build number for the sixth iteration was 20A5349b.

The splitting of the beta in two is likely because the new iPhones and iPads are released in different months. The iPhone 14 is expected to be released in September, while the iPad product update is expected to be released in October.
