“Age of Empires 4” October anniversary update details to add two new civilizations
Age of Empires will celebrate its 25th birthday on October 25, and the Age of Empires 4 Anniversary Update will be released on that date. The anniversary update includes two new playable civilizations, "Ottoman" and "Mali," as well as new master challenges and achievements, and eight new map types and biomes.
The anniversary update also includes balance improvements for the navy and a new unit command path point system. It also marks the start of the third season of Age of Empires 4, which will introduce team ranked play.
The Ottomans were one of the most famous empires in history and had the largest artillery siege weapons. Thanks to a special military school system, it was possible to have a larger army than other civilizations.
Mali is the richest trading empire with an economy based on gold. It uses hit-and-run cooperation and ambush tactics rather than costly head-on fierce battles. They can build pits in gold beds that can provide a steady source of income and have the unique ability to raise cattle for food.
